Hernán Darío:

Art and Survival Fellow

Hernán Darío is an Argentinean multidisciplinary artist based in Providence RI. They have completed film & video studies at the School of Tokyo Visual Arts (2008) as a scholarship recipient of the Japanese Ministry of Education & Culture (文部科学省 / Monbukagakusho). Since then they developed projects in Argentina, Chile, United States, Canada & France.

They are a PGI grantee (2018-2019) of RISCA and an alumni of the program Assets for Artists (2019). They have worked with the Department of Art, Culture and Tourism of Providence (2017–18) for the public art and music festival PVDFest and with the Alliance of Artists Communities (2018–19) to organize annual conferences and collective training. As an artist as they have collaborated with theater companies such as Strange Attractor, MAP, and has provided workshops with the Urbano Project in Boston and the RISD Museum in Providence.
