Hey folks! We’ve been receiving some questions about black/water and wanted to share some information that might be helpful to potential applicants.
Yes! We will accept late applications.
Yes! You can live anywhere and participate in this offering.
No! You do not have to attend the in-person immersion to participate in the virtual components.
Yes! ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE ON CAMERA AND FOCUSED DURING SESSIONS. Please do not double-book, cook, drive, or be otherwise involved during sessions.
The in-person immersion takes place October 11-16. Please excuse the typo! We fixed it. There is no need to pay for the in-person component until August 15, 2025.
Yes! You will receive a syllabus/course of study.
Yes! You should allocate at least 5 hours (est.) a week for homework. This may shift during the time you are working independently.
Yes! The virtual wellness ritual is a critical element of our learning ceremony.
Yes! The virtual wellness ritual is from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM EDT for 7 days. Every day!
No! You do not have to be a professional in any field to apply.
No! JPS is not able to provide financial or logistical support for in-person immersion participants.
Yes! You only need to apply once for the virtual learning ceremony and the immersion. Only apply to what suits you!
Yes! Accepted participants should be prepared to attend all virtual dates.
Yes! If you apply, accepted participants should be prepared to attend all immersion dates.
If you happen to miss a session, request access to the video and materials in a timely manner. It is highly suggested that you make a friend and clarify assignments or notes before attending the next session.
If you are interested in a reduced rate, please apply early. JPS is offering a deeply discounted program fee courtesy of our supporters. The rates are already discounted. The scholarship rates are noted in the application.
No! There are no refunds.
